Berean Christadelphians
The name Berean Christadelphian is a name of Biblical origin. Berean comes from the city of Berea in Biblical times who were commended for ensuring that the words of the apostles agreed to what the Scriptures taught (Acts 17:10-11). Similarly, the name Christadelphian comes from the Greek word meaning brother, or relative of Christ which Jesus called his disciples who kept his commandments, and remained pure in doctrine (John 14:15; James 3:17). He styled these "My brethren" (John 20:17; Heb. 2:11) therefore, brethren of Christ or Christadelphian. This name was adopted because Berean Christadelphians firmly believe that the Bible is the Word of God and the only source from which a man may be made “wise unto salvation”(2 Tim. 3:15). This is done through daily study and meditation upon the Word of God, and obedience to the divine commands contained therein.
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
